The Best of Burgundy Fashion for Fall and Winter

Hi friends! I hope you've been having a great day! If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you know that's where I share more of my fashion finds, and I have to admit, burgundy is having a moment in my opinion.

I've been a fan of the color for years and I think that it is universally flattering on EVERYONE, so it's fun to see how the color is showing up in fashion and home decor alike!

Of all the colors out there, burgundy goes by way more names than any other I've seen.  As I was finding all the burgundy fashion items right now, I found pieces under the name merlot, wine, port, oxblood, acai, dark plum, dark red, deep currant, berry, and more.

It's also a beautiful color that shows up in a variety of patterns and textures, from plaid, crushed velvet, satin, leather, faux leather, suede, and corded, knits, silks, and not to mention the gorgeous jewelry pieces! These plum tassel earrings are probably my FAVE!  I also lean toward simplicity and a good burgundy sweater like this one will always be my go-to. ;-)

Fave Things Friday and Weekend Sales

Hi friends! I'm so glad you found my last post helpful on the best seasonal throw blankets across the internet.  I love a good oversized blanket to snuggle up with during the colder months. :-) 

This weekend my firefighter husband and oldest daughter are off on their father daughter deer hunting trip to Eastern Washington, so the other two kiddos and I get to have some quality time together and hold down the fort. lol

3. Favorite Recipe: Curried Cauliflower Soup Recipe (whole 30 and paleo compliant)

Jennifer from The Chronicles of Home is often sharing the yummiest recipes on her blog and this Curried Cauliflower Soup recipe is definitely a must try for our family. We are primarily a gluten and dairy free, whole foods kind of eating family, so I'm always looking for great new recipes!

4. Favorite Christmas Holiday Decor Items.

It's no secret that I LOVE Christmas. And I think the older I get the less I care about getter excited for the Holiday earlier. Now, I'm honestly not much of a seasonal decorator and storage space is limited at our little beach house.  

For Christmas and Thanksgiving I tend to keep the decor to fresh greens and simple, elegant, timeless decoration.  When items start to come out in stores, I get so excited! Haha! Here are a handful of items that caught my eye this week.

Mix and Match Coastal Boy's Bedroom Design Ideas

Hi friends! Thanks for the love on my last post!  I know first hand how much time it can take to find all the home decor options out there, so I'm glad to hear these are saving you a ton of time! :-)

Today's design is all about a fun, coastal boy's bedroom. We currently have an eight year old son and whether I'm brainstorming designs for boys or girls I ALWAYS like to ask my kid's opinions. These are potentially their bedroom, and I'm sometimes surprised at their likes and dislikes, so it's quite helpful. Ha!
