Splurge vs. Save - Spring Style

Fashion Blog Posts, Spring, Summer, Splurge vs. SaveAnneke McConnell

Hello lovely ladies!  I hope you are doing well and anticipating warmer weather soon with Spring right around the corner.  We're keeping busy as a fam with the kiddo's school and activities as well as the occasional trip - recently to Cannon Beach which I shared little of on Instagram. (For just style >>>> @CoastalCollectiveStyle)

I'm SO excited for today's post!  I love creating outfit ideas to inspire you and doing a little splurge vs. save for whatever your current budget may be.

I know how daunting it can be to search the internet for just the right item, even I get overwhelmed with all the options at times.  So, I hope this helps save you a ton of time shopping or at least points you in the right direction.

Today's outfit is probably one of my go-to looks in the Spring and Summer.  It's so easy to swap out shorts, and flats, a colorful pair of earrings, or a light jacket.

If there's anything I love, it's a good blue and white striped top (I just ordered this one!) with some gold accessories.  And no matter the season, you'll often find me in a hat. ;-)

All outfit items can be found below each photo. Which do you go for? The Splurge or the Save? :-)

100+ Beach Totes and Bags for Spring and Summer

Fashion Blog Posts, HandbagsAnneke McConnell

As we head into the warmer weather seasons of Spring and Summer, there are dozens of beach totes to be found across the internet.  From neutral woven bags to waterproof nylon totes, there's something for everyone.

I put on my major research-loving hat for this blog post to round up a diverse collection of beach bags for a casual day out shopping, a vacation trip to a resort, or a day trip to your local beach.

[PIN IT FOR LATER]

The boutique below is made up of bags in neutral colors to bright and colorful patterns, pom pom details (or even pom pom or tassel keychain additons to add to any bag).

The prices range from $20 to a few hundred or more depending on your budget, so I've made it easy by making sure the price can be seen when you hover on the photo. BUT FIRST - know that this may show a "full retail price" and not the sale price, sometimes half off or more!

I hope this helps you find the perfect beach bag for these warmer days ahead or that special vacation, honeymoon, girl's trip, etc.  I think of all of them, THIS ONE and THIS ONE are my favorites!

Are you headed someplace warm and sunny? I'd love to know where in the comments below!

Coastal Interiors: 12 Navy Rugs for a Beach {inspired} Home

Coastal Interiors, EdesignAnneke McConnell

Happy 2017 to you all as we kick off another year of interior design inspiration!  There are a few changes headed to the blog, which I'll be sharing more of soon, but today I wanted to kick off the year's first post with an interior design post.

>>>>>Be sure to follow along on Facebook for more LIVE videos on style, painting furniture, and life balance topics. :-)

Any coastal, beach loving person typically has a love of all things navy blue. Navy exudes the color of the ocean, and today as I share some beautiful navy rugs with you, I want you to imagine a navy blue rug as a grounding piece to a room.

It's easy to fall into using natural area rugs in a coastal design (and always a beautiful, classic option), but if you're looking for something a little different, but still classic, here are some options to inspire you with a full design idea at the end. For other options beyond navy rugs, browse HERE.

Coastal Interiors Home Decor Picks and Green Monday deals

Fave Picks, Home Blog Posts, InteriorsAnneke McConnell

Hello friends! If you're anything like me, you're getting more and more excited for Christmas as the day approaches and looking forward to some much needed time with family and friends to celebrate the Holiday. I'm currently reading through the book Essentialism and HIGHLY recommend it if you're feeling the overwhelm of "so much to do" and "not enough time."

Now, this is quite bluntly THE time for sales galore, which is awesome and also potentially overwhelming. I understand! Truly!

Currently as I'm wrapping up some personal projects and getting ready to take some time off of work, I thought I'd share things throughout this week that catch my eye amongst the hundreds of options (new arrivals and sale items) that you're sure to appreciate as a Coastal Lover!

Some of these items may be the perfect piece for your home, from a new dining chair, table, blankets, light, or rug OR something may be the perfect gift for a family member or friend like this pretty wood candle tray or these bath salts to encourage your go-getter friend to relax! :-)

Cheers to a new week, and just around the corner a New Year!

xo,

Anneke
